The Birkenhead Primary School teaching staff traded their classrooms for the open water at Westhaven Marina, diving into a high-energy team-building session with the Auckland Dragon Boat Association (ADBA).

The Auckland Anniversary Dragon Boat Regatta, part of the wider Auckland Anniversary Regatta, was an exciting day of racing, bringing together 14 standard crews and 30 small crews to compete on the sparkling waters of Auckland’s Viaduct Harbour

We are seeking a dynamic and versatile Sports Coordinator to play a crucial role in supporting the Auckland Dragon Boat Association (ADBA) Committee’s goals and objectives.

ADBA can now confirm that we have had advice from the Safeswim lead scientist that the measurement used for the site is calculated to a level fit for swimming with face down for 10 minutes full immersion. The level of Red and Black has been assessed as very low risk for boating and paddling activities regardless of the warning level on the Safeswim website.
